Bryan Bailey, B.App.Sc., B.Comm., MSc., BEd., OCT
Mr. Bryan Bailey is in his second year teaching at the Hill. Bryan first graduated from the University of Windsor, where he played football and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering. After working in engineering consulting, Bryan decided to pursue study in business. This culminated in the achievement of a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics in England. Bryan earned his Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Ottawa. He currently teaches business and English and Data Management. Bryan is an avid sports fan, enjoys hiking and kayaking, and loves to travel and experience different cultures. As Mark Twain said "travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness." Bryan believes that this is also true for education, and strives to achieve this same learning in his classroom.

Vince Bruni, B.SBA, M.Ed,
Vince Bruni is in his first year at The Hill and he teaches senior level Math and Business courses. Vince is a graduate of both The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and Canisius College in Buffalo. While attending UAH, Vince graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting and Finance. Vince graduated with Cum Laude status and accepted a membership to the distinguished Beta Alpha Psi business fraternity. Vince also made consecutive CHA All-Academic teams and Dean’s List honours. While attending Canisius College, Vince received his Masters of Science in Adolescent Education with a speciality in Business and Marketing. Vince graduated with honours and a GPA in the top 10 percent of his class. In his free time, Vince enjoys outdoor sports and activities, which include camping, biking, fishing, and cross fit.

Allison Carlow, H.B.Sc, B.Ed
This is Allison Carlow's first year teaching at The Hill. She graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University, majoring in Life Sciences. Allison comes from a long line of teachers- both her parents are high school science teachers who have helped shape her values and principles in education. She received her teaching certification from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Before realizing her passion for teaching, Allison entertained the idea of being a medical illustrator, encompassing her enthusiasm for Science and Fine Art. She was the recipient of the Fine Arts Award at her high school for achieving the top Fine Arts mark. During her free time, Allison enjoys swimming, cycling, painting, traveling, scuba diving and playing volleyball. Vanessa Campagna, BA(H), B.Ed, OCT
Vanessa is currently in her first year teaching at the Hill Academy. She teaches senior level History, Social Science, and English. She is a graduate of both the University of Windsor and the University of Toronto. While attending the University of Windsor, Vanessa completed a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Classical Civilization. She also possesses undeclared minors in English Literature and Political Science. After graduating from the University of Windsor, Vanessa attended OISE at the University of Toronto and acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Vanessa currently possesses her ESL Part 1 additional qualification and is working towards her full certification for teaching English as a Second Language. Vanessa is passionate about other cultures, and has travelled extensively throughout Europe and Latin America. Besides travelling, her hobbies include reading, cooking, and gardening. Luke Madill, M.Sc, B.Ed, B.Ed-(Kin), DUT
Luke Madill is now in his third year at The Hill Academy and he teaches senior level English and Social Studies courses. He is a graduate of both McGill University and the University of New Brunswick (UNB). While attending McGill, Luke completed a Bachelor’s Degree of Education in Kinesiology and graduated as an Academic All-Canadian. He was also a captain of the hockey team for two seasons. After graduating from McGill, Luke traveled to UNB to complete a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Luke was a Dean’s list student at UNB and at his convocation he was awarded the Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick’s Silver Medal in Education as the top student graduating from that faculty. In addition to the degrees he completed at UNB, Luke also acquired a Diploma in University Teaching (DUT) and helped coach the UNB Varsity Reds Hockey team to a Canadian University National Championship. In his free time Luke loves to read, watch movies and golf. David Mooney, B.Sc, B.Ed
David Mooney is in his second year at The Hill Academy. He teaches English, History and Math, and is also a Prep Hockey Coach. David received his Bachelor of Science as well as his Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. While studying at University of Toronto, he was a member of the Men's Varsity Hockey team. In his spare time, David enjoys golfing, working out, and playing music. One of his favourite quotations is: "It's never crowded on the extra mile" - Roger Staubach.

Dan Noble M.Sc, B.Ed, OCT, GAIN
Coach Noble is in his sixth year of teaching at The Hill Academy. He is our head strength and conditioning coach and the director of Physical Education. Coach Noble did his undergrad at the University of Guelph and received his Masters of Science in Education from D’youville College. Before Coach Noble came to the Hill Academy he played professional football in Italy for two seasons for the Bergamo Lions of the IFL, winning two Italian super bowls and losing once in the Euro Bowl championship. In his down time he plays hockey, coach’s football at Guelph University, snowboards, and surfs. One of Coach Noble’s favorite quotes from John Wooden is “Sports do not build character. Laura Webster B.A.H., B.Ed., OCT
Mrs. Webster is excited to be a new member of The Hill Academy teaching staff! She is thrilled to be teaching Intermediate and Senior English courses. Laura completed her Bachelor of Arts, Honours, in Health Studies at Queen’s University. Upon graduating, Laura travelled to Kathmandu, Nepal, to work as an English teacher and as a specialized physical education instructor who taught life skills through physical activity. Prior to completing her Bachelor of Education at OISE, at the University of Toronto, Laura worked as a Health Promotion Coordinator, and a certified personal trainer, teaching safety in sports through experiential learning. She is an accredited primary author of an educational manual, which teaches injury prevention and risk management through a biomechanics understanding of sport accidents. Laura is a former member of the Queen’s University competitive dance team; winning the Ontario Cup and traveling to the ESPN National Competition in Daytona Beach, FL during her undergraduate years. She continues as a choreographer for various local productions and competitive university teams. As an English teacher she is passionate about literature and the constant pursuit of eloquent writing. Laura is inspired by the words of Dr. Suess: “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”

Drorit Weiss, B.Sc, B.Ed, OCT
Drorit Weiss teaches senior Mathematics at the Hill Academy. She studied Math and Computer Science at the University of Waterloo and York University. She worked in the software industry for 7 years where her emphasis was in adult education and software training. As a transition to high school education, Drorit managed a private learning centre for extra support in the Maths and Sciences. Drorit is also a dance instructor and has taught within various university, school board and international forums. She is delighted to have the opportunity to continue sharing her various interests with her students. Her favorite quote is “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin

John Allardyce, HBA, BEd
John has been a teacher, coach and Principal over the past 37 years. Mr. Allardyce graduated from the University of Western Ontario in Physical Education and received his Education Degree from The University of Toronto. His outside interests include golf, tennis, fitness, wood-working and family time.
